As the journey for Butterfly Farms begins, we want to share not just the vision and mission statement for the non-profit business entity, but also the heart behind what we are building.
The statistics that show the sheer number of women who are abused, trafficked, addicted and who are living at or below poverty level in this day and age, are staggering. The statistics of women who break away from their abusive situations and return back to those same situations is heartbreaking. While there are many organizations that provide help for various needs, there are still too many gaps in service, and those gaps contribute to those numbers. Our heart is for the women that comprise those numbers. They are our sisters and mothers, our nieces and daughters, our grandmother and aunts, and our friends. And it is not okay. We are working to create change right here in our community, one step at a time. What many of these women need is a safe, healthy environment in which to transform. Our desire is to be their Chrysalis.
